AFRICAFORA- Nigerian Ijaw Self Determination Activist , Annkio Briggs , Others Speaks Out On África Day
The Nigerian Ijaw self-determination activist, Annkio Briggs , yesterday , 25th May 2022 , spoke at Nzuko 2022, “ The Africa Economic and Cultural Week”, the activist related the importance of resource management in Nígeria
Annkio Briggs , who spoke at Africafora forum , said that self determination is not necessarily secession from Nígeria but the right to actually control what belongs to you by nature , the Ijaw activist said such will enable the indigenes of a place to determine the distribution of their resources , she criticized the bad distribution of resources generated from these areas . Annkio insists that the resources generated from Niger Delta should favor the indigenes , she said that will definitely characterize a just society
Also speaking at the occasion , the Brazil based Nígerian Yoruba artist , writer and Journalist , Adeyinka Olaiya related the bond between Brazil and Africa , the artist said that Brazil is the Africa out of Africa , he expressed the similarities in the dailies of the Brazilian people and the Yoruba people of Nígeria and the West African countries . Olaiya said that Africa day celebration is incomplete without saluting Brazil . He advised Africans to embrace the culture , tradition and religion of their ancestors .
The event which started on the 24th May 2022 , in France , counted with the presence of a Nígerian sculptor and industrial designer , John Amanam Sunday , the Hyper-Realistic artist who makes Prostheses for Amputees in dark skin colors and semblances of Body Parts charged África to re-examine its potentials.He insists Africans are good, they can do better
Elizabeth Tchwenko-Fabu , the elegantly dressed Cameroonian business person explained the complexities and the way out in African fabric businesses , she said that Africa has got all it takes to improve in its production and sales .
Chibu Akukwe , the USA based Nígerian business man also related the new dimension introduced in the making of Ogogoro , the African hot drink . Chibu who is the co-founder of PetrosAfrica , the first premium, organic ogogoro in Africa explained the success in his new dimension.
