The Yoruba council , a sócio-cultural and political organization , has reacted against the declaration of Afenifere leader , Pa Ayo Adebanjo , in support of the labor party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi

In an exclusive interview with the Ancestral News , Brazil , the president of Yoruba Council , Aare Hassan Oladotun , replied that Afenifere does not represent the interest of all Yorubas in Nígeria and Overseas “ Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Afenifere does not represent the interest of the Yorubas , he has the right to his own political option as a Nigerian. I am affirming categorically that Yoruba council worldwide , Igbimo Apapo Yoruba lagbaye, is strictly behind Asiwaju Bola Tinubu , he is our candidate. Afenifere is on their own , the group can not speak for all Yorubas “- The President said .

According to Barrister Hassan , the scores between Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu can not be settled with the future of all Yoruba people at stake , he said the Yoruba race can not be used to settle personal scores “ Asiwaju Tinubu and Pa Ayo Adebanjo will settle their issues away from the Yoruba people. This didnt start today , it’s since the time of AD . Let them not involve the Yoruba race , they know themselves and will settle at the right time “ -Aare said .
