“Tinubu , Go And Sin No More” – Afenifere Sec. Gen. Interpretes Pá Fasoroti , Says Tunubu Went To Apologize Only , Not Political Endorsement
The Secretary General of Afenifere , a sociopolitical group in Yoruba land , Barr. Sola Ebiseni , has debunked the news that Pa Fasoroti approved of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu .
The Outspoken Secretary General interpreted the conversation between Pa Fasoroti and Asiwaju Tinubu in Akure , he said Pa Fasoroti placed his hands on the head of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as a proof of forgiveness for all the sins Asiwaju Tinubu committed against him and the Afenifere years back .
According to him , Pa Fasoroti said : “ Go and sin no more…“ , he did not approve of the political ambition of Asiwaju . The secretary insists Asiwaju came to the meeting only to apologize for all he did wrong to Pa Fasoroti , and was consequently forgiven by the aged Yoruba elder .
The secretary further explained that the meeting in Akure was called by Yoruba nation group , not Afenifere , he said Afenifere members honored the invitation of Yoruba group called ( Conscience of Yoruba Nation) . The Barrister said the letter of invitation was issued by the Yoruba Self determination group , and scheduled for just 1hr , but extended beyond the stipulated time . “ It has nothing to do with Afenifere “ He emphasized.
The secretary , who was a special guest at the Yoruba Gbode live zoom conduted by Madam Sola Yussuf , insists that Afenifere is not a Sociocultural group but a Sociopolitical , so the affairs is not limited only to the Yoruba group but to all Nigerians.
Responding to questions , the Secretary General said “ Tinubu went to Baba Fasoroti to apologize for his past , nothing like endorsing his political career . Pa Fasoroti asked him to go and sin no more “ He concluded
The Secretary General further explained that Pa Fasoroti handed over the leadership of Afenifere to Pa Adebanjo on the 16th of March 2021 . The affairs of Afenifere are coordinated henceforth from Ijebu , the home residence of Pa Ayo Adebanjo , not Akure
Barr. Sola Ebiseni said Asiwaju Tinubu wanted to play fast on the intelligence of all Yoruba elders present in Akure , he twisted the initial reasons of the meeting to the endorsement of Tinubu’s presidential campaign by Pa Fasoroti of Afenifere.
