The Santos football Club , the eternal side of Legend Pele will receive the ASÈ ÍSESE AWARDS 2022 Award in Brazil
The Outstanding Award “Ancestry and Religiosity of African Matrices”, is promoted by the African Cultural Center in Brazil .
A ceremony scheduled to hold on Thursday (01), at 6 pm, at the City Hall of São Paulo. It is the seventh edition of the event.
The award will be granted for the unprecedented celebration of Santos on the African continent. The event will be attended by eternal idols, family members and representatives of the club.
This season, the third uniform alluded to all of Santos’ achievements on the continent. The shirt paid homage to one of the most remarkable moments in the sport, when the team commanded by Pelé stopped a war in Nigeria in 1969.
In the debut of the uniform in the victory over Athletico-PR in Vila, Santos carried out several actions. It had an opening show with cuvai, received ambassadors from Africa in Brazil at an event realized in the Memorial das Achievements
These dignitaries were welcomed by management of Santos clube , led by 100 refugee people of African origin, mostly Nigerians . The event was assisted by the NGO in Brazil
In addition , eleven African children who entered the field with the Santos players , and one of them handed over the game ball.
In the field, before the game, the Santos Manifest was read in honor of Africa. The club also conducted the ancestry test with players from the men’s and women’s teams, Eternal Idols and other influencers.
The Eternal Idols Edu and Manoel Maria who were on the field in that friendly match were present to be honored at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, in the city of Benin, Nigeria.
To compliment to trip to Nígeria, A friendly match was held with two teams wearing white and black Santos uniforms. It was a historic moment that elevated the king Pele’s club in Nígeria.
Santos football club of Brazil is one of the most famous club in the world , it is the first club side that gave chances to Afro- Brazilian players .
