The leader of the apex body of the Yoruba self-determination struggle, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Prof. Banji Akintoye, has debunked the news that he recently stepped down from his position as the Yoruba Nation Leader
The information that Akintoye’s resignation followed an alleged infighting among members of the self-determination group was immediately brought down by the Professor , today , Thursday , 22nd , December , 2022 .
According to the Leader , “ I am still the leader of the Yoruba nation struggle , I remain the President (Worldwide) of Ilana Omo Oodua while Prof . Wale Adeniran is the chairman of Ilana Omo Oodua . I did not grant any interview denouncing my position as Yoruba Nation Leader , só the news circulating in the media is not true “ – Akintoye reveals
The Prof. further explained that Prof. Adeniran will lead the self determination group as the chairman with other members worldwide.
