Nígerians In Ethiopia Prison Cry For Rescue , Says They Are Dying , Writes Buhari Govt.

Nigerians detained in Kaliti Prison, Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital city, are appealing to the Federal Government of Nigeria to rescue them from dying in prison , they insists Kaliti prison is precarious and deadly , inmates are dying .

The prisoners , in an open letter to Ancestral News , denounce the prison conditions , they appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to rescue them , they beg to complete their jail terms in Nígeria , “ other foreign inmates are doing the same , their governments are rescuing them from Kaliti” , Says Ernest

Ancestral News gathered that over 250 Nigerians are presently languishing in the Ethiopian prison without hope of surviving the jail terms . “ Many are seriously sick , some at the point of death without food , without medical services “ Says Emeka , a Nígerian inmate .

According to Kelechi , a Nigérian inmate sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for illegal possession of hard drugs , “ Inmates are suffering From Cardiac Arrest, Epilepsy, Kidney Complications , HIV , A lot are dying “ Says the Nigerian who has completed 5 years in Kaliti prison

“ The Nigerian embassy in Ethiopia no longer help , they have abandoned us in prison , we beg our government to come to our rescue , let them do prison transfer for us . Kaliti prison in Ethiopia is a death center . We don’t want to die here .” Says an inmate who wouldn’t want to be identified.
