A Nigérian Igbo Chief , Sunday Udokara has died in Saopaulo , Brazil
A native of Umuahia , Abia state , Udokara was found dead in his apartment .The cause of the death was unknown.
According to information , Sunday Udokara , popularly known as Chief Oko , lived without family in Saopaulo, Brazil
Ancestrals gathered that neighbors knew of his death after breaking into the apartment where he lived and found him dead “ He must have died for nothing less than seven days in his apartment” A witness said
According to Nigerians in Saopaulo , Chief Oko lived a mysterious life in Saopaulo “ Sunny wouldn’t allow anybody to know his residence.” -Chinedu, a Nígerian in Brazil revealed
A true Nígerian of many culture and tradition , Chief Oko was fluent in Yoruba , Igbo and the Hausa language. He arrived Brazil in the mid-80s from Belgium where he had lived for years before relocating to Brazil
Dr Alex Colman , a Nigerian elder in Saopaulo said :“ Sunday Udokara’s death is too sad , Sunny was a true Nígerian who dominated the three major languages in Nigeria. May his souls Rest In Peace “
According to Mr. Ethans Nicholas , :” Chief Oko would never allow you to know anything about him or his family , so the Nigeria community in Brazil could not do anything . The community searched and later discovered he was dead and has since been buried by his neighbors who could also not locate any of his family .
