In a fiery address, Chief Sunday Igboho, the Yoruba Nation agitator, unleashed a torrent of curses on former President Buhari, accusing him of orchestrating the deaths of his family members. Igboho, who recently returned from exile in Germany, lambasted Buhari for the turmoil inflicted upon him and his kin during his relentless pursuit of Yoruba self-determination.
Speaking passionately during his visit to the Palace of Onibode of Igboho in Igboho town on February 24, Igboho decried the killings of Yoruba monarchs and vowed to continue championing the cause of his people. He declared that Buhari would never find peace, citing the unrest wrought upon Yoruba lives under his tenure.
In a surprising twist, Igboho extended an olive branch to Asiwaju Tinubu, Nigeria’s current president, urging fellow Yorubas not to vilify him. He reasoned that Tinubu could not perform miracles, especially with the hindrance caused by the diversion of funds allegedly orchestrated by Buhari’s Fulani associates. Igboho expressed gratitude to the monarchs, including those who supported him during his incarceration in Cotonou, Benin Republic, as well as prominent figures like Prof. Wole Soyinka and Prof. Akintoye. He called for unity and understanding among the Yoruba populace as they navigate through turbulent times.
In several of his video comments since arriving in Nigeria, Chief Sunday Igboho has refrained from saying anything against the current president of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He stated that not even Buhari wanted Tinubu to be president and remarked that Tinubu found his own way into Aso Rock . Igboho urged all agitators not to disturb Tinubu or any of the governors, except regarding the security of the Yorubas in Nigeria.
