Ilé-Ifẹ̀, Osun State, Nigeria – June 7, 2026
The annual World Ifá Festival at Oke Itase in the ancient city of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ has revealed Òsá Méjì as the principal Odu guiding humanity for the 2026 spiritual year.
Thousands of devotees, Babaláwo, traditional rulers, scholars, and followers of Ifá from Nigeria and the diaspora gathered at the sacred Oke Itase grounds, regarded as one of the most important centers of Ifá tradition worldwide. The event concluded with the customary divination that provides spiritual guidance for Yorùbá communities and practitioners of Ifá across the globe.

According to the divination, the dominant blessing accompanying the year is Ìrè Ajé—the blessing of wealth, prosperity, economic growth, and financial stability. Followers were encouraged to embrace honesty, hard work, good character (Ìwà Pẹ̀lẹ́), and community cooperation in order to attract the positive manifestations of Ajé.
Spiritual leaders emphasized that Òsá Méjì calls for wisdom, vigilance, and respect for divine guidance. The Odu reminds individuals and communities that prosperity must be accompanied by integrity, justice, and responsibility.

The annual Oke Itase gathering remains one of the most significant events in Yorùbá spirituality, attracting participants from Africa, the Americas, Europe, and other parts of the world. The festival serves as a symbol of cultural continuity and the enduring global influence of Ifá, the sacred wisdom tradition associated with Ọ̀rúnmìlà. As devotees return to their respective countries, the message of Òsá Méjì and the promise of Ìrè Ajé are expected to guide spiritual, cultural, and economic aspirations throughout the year ahead.
The annual Odu of the Year divination was conducted at Oke Itase, Ilé-Ifẹ̀, under the leadership of His Eminence, Áraba Àgbáyé and Olu Ìṣẹ̀ṣe, Owolabi Aworeni. The sacred gathering brought together Babaláwo, traditional leaders, and devotees from across Nigeria and the diaspora to receive Ifá’s guidance for the new Yorùbá spiritual year.
The divination revealed Òsá Méjì as the principal Odu for the year, accompanied by Ìrè Ajé, symbolizing prosperity, abundance, and economic progress. As the annual Odu expected by Ifá and Òrìṣà devotees worldwide, its messages, recommendations, warnings, and blessings are observed throughout the year by practitioners seeking spiritual guidance and alignment with the teachings of Ifá.
The event reaffirmed Ilé-Ifẹ̀’s role as the spiritual cradle of Yorùbá civilization and the global center of Ifá traditio
