On the 7th of October, 2023, Cris Vieira Moda Africana, a trailblazing force in the realm of African fashion in Brazil, left an indelible mark in São Paulo. The African fashion designer showcased the latest creations by Cris Vieira at a glamorous fashion parade held in Santo André, within the ABC region of São Paulo, Brazil.
The event, titled “Desfile Moremi: Tereza de Benguela,” marked its second edition at the cine teatro Carlos Gomes, where elegance, beauty, and the artistic prowess of an exemplary and multi-talented Brazilian fashion designer were on full display.
Cris Vieira passionately expressed, “This runway was graced by incredible women, warriors fighting for our space and our people.”
The visionary founder and CEO of the fashion empire continued, “Similarly, the fabrics from various African countries reconnect us to our origins and roots. With each face that graced the runway, the presence of our ancestry was vividly evident.”
Highlighting the icing on the cake, the ancestral Adire fabrics, Cris Vieira added, “These fabrics illuminated the runway, showcasing one of the great treasures left by our ancestors. Queen Ronke Ademiluyi has been instrumental in revealing its immense value to the world.”
The glamorous fashion parade, which featured models of all categories, elevated the spirits of all who were in attendance.
The fashion parade featured exceptional models of international caliber strutting down the runway, adorned in exquisite African attire. It was a true celebration of diaspora Africa.
Cris Vieira not only elevated Afro-Brazilian history on the stage but also narrated Yoruba history from Ile-Ife, emphasizing why women in this modern era should embody Moremi, a fusion of elegance, beauty, and courage in their lives.
Cris Vieira Moda Áfricana showcased exceptional attire, celebrating the arts and designs in African rhythms.
