The Awise Ifa Agbaiye , Professor Wande Abimbola yesterday revealed the secret behind his long and healthy life , he said his Ancestors are the forces behind his life , Babalawo appreciates the Egunguns , his Ancestors , his gods who apart from guiding him through all these years also blessed him with long and healthy life .

Attending to Adeyinka Olaiya from his residence in the United States of America , Prof Wande Abimbola appreciates his Ancestors , he reaffirms that whoever makes a pact with the Ancestors , who ever worships the true God , Olodumare in the right manner will definitely be blessed with the best of everything , including long and healthy life

The number one Babalawo cited a verse from the Ifa literary corpus, Odu Ogbe-Ate , which stipulates that the Egunguns, meaning the Ancestors are always ready to assist those who appreciates them, those who makes worthy pact with the Ancestors , he said that the Egunguns are involved in the process of creation.

So who ever recognizes, appreciates, worships as determined by the Ancestors will definitely mark an automatic and irreversible covenant with the gods , the person will have a spiritual pact with the Amcestors , such person will become ( Iwin) a spirit being.

The Yoruba Icon said he is contended with his life as a traditionalist , he will be 90 years soon . The spiritual head said Ifa has given to him what no man can give , he referred to his mates who despite having everything, they are no longer alive , he said that a true Babalawo who does according to the demands of the gods will live longer and have reasons to thank Olodumare.

The former Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University reaffirms that the Yorubas around the world can attain greater heights if only they hold tight what they have as an instrument to defeat all challenges, he said that Ifa knowledge Is essential, it covers all aspects of humanity.

Prof. Wande Abimbola ended the interview with a song to praise the functions and the promises of Egunguns “ mo ba Egungun mu’le mo di iwin o, mo ba Egungun mu’le, mo di iwin, mo ba Egungun mu’le l’agba lá, mo ba Egungun mu’le mo di Iwin “ he sang while thanking his Ancestors.
