Sara Negritri , an African-Brazilian artist , filmmaker, writer and photographer , this weekend , 15th April 2022 , exhibited one of the most inspiring retracts of the decade in Brazil, the filmmaker exhibited pictures of Yoruba Monarchs in Saopaulo, Brazil

The artist who featured remarkable photographs and video coverages at the exhibition in Jardins , described a particular picture in the exhibition as the LAST SUPPER , she said that the Yoruba history dates beyond the one of Jesus Christ’s episode of the last supper “ Our Ancestors were eating like that before the Jewish people “ she said .

Sara Negritri further explained the spiritual influence of the monarchs’ recent visits to Brazil, she agreed to have snapped most pictures exhibited during the recent visits of the monarchs to Brazil .

The photographer expressed the importance of Yoruba tradition in Brazil , she said that these pictures will further connect the spirituality that binds the Afro- Brazilians with their Ancestors in Yoruba land , she said that the visits of Owa Ajero of Ijero Ekiti and Alapomu of Apomu to Brazil really inspired the African Brazilians.

“The Monarchs’ last visit to Brazil is a proof that we have fathers , we are not slaves , we have a home in Ile-Ife , Ooni of Ife is our father “ the filmmaker said

The Exhibition also featured the works of other national and international artist , it ran for 2 weeks at the Odisseia Casa de Cultura , Alameda Min. Rocha Azevedo , 463 , Jardins , Saopaulo, Brazil . It was curated by Paulo S Rufino Henrique.

Sara Negritri was the official photographer who covered the visits of Ooni of Ife’s delegates to Brazil last November , she responded to the photographic and film activities of the monarchs who represented the Aroole Oodua during the Black awareness day last November in Brazil .

The Owa Ajero of Ijero Ekiti, Alapomu of Apomu , Comrade (Chief) Moses Olafare , Babalawo Adekunle , Babalawo Fagoroye , visited Brazil from Nígeria to represent the interest of the Ooni of Ife , Aroole Oodua , Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi , the Ojaja III
