“Biafra Is Dead, Igbos Will Remain In Nígeria”-Umahi

Dave Umahi , the Governor of Ebonyin has revealed that the Igbos are going to remain in Nígeria, the state governor said despite the agitation for Biafra, Igbos will remain in Nigeria , he insists that Igbos should accept their destiny and remain in Nígeria “ Nígeria is our home “ he said .

Governor Umahi who spoke to the State House correspondents , Nans Reports , at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday, said his visit to Abuja was to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for his two-day working trip to Ebonyi State . He appreciated the spirit of love demonstrated by the president .

The Governor said the people of Ebonyi were happy with the Nigerian leader and they appreciated his love and concern for the state. He dismissed the insinuation that the people of the South-East were no longer interested in Nigeria , he said that Nígeria will remain and the Agitators will fade off with their secession .

According to Gov. Umahi, the Igbos are not in support of any form of agitation or plans to secede, he said that the idea of secession is irrelevant and would not work . “ it is not the best for the Igbos “ He said

“I have always said that we are not totally in support of agitation to secede. We want to belong to the Nigerian nation. As the Chairman of the Southeast Governors Forum, I have publicly said it, I have defended it. I don’t care about the attacks and those who have taken to the politics of that matter in our place.”

Governor Dave Umahi asked the Biafra Agitators to refrain from the Idea , he said the Igbos will remain as Nígerians .
