Oluwo ( Dr) fayemi Fatunde Fakayode , the P.R.O , Ifa Council, has criticized the South West Governors and their nonchalant attitudes towards the Yoruba traditional religion in Nígeria. The ICIR spokesperson referred to most Yoruba Governors as destructive and wicked to Isese
The Special Guest , who attended a live interactive program on Adeyinka Olaiya YouTube Channel , in Saopaulo, Brazil , said it is strange that Isese Is still being discriminated by Yoruba Governors who are supposed to defend the cause of their Ancestors.
According to Oluwo , Osun State is the only state contributing well to Isese , he said Governor Aregbesola helped Isese a lot ; such that every 20th of August is now a public holiday for Traditionalists in Osun state .
“Yoruba Traditional Religion deserves the benefits accorded to other religions in Nígeria , Isese should also have public holidays like Islam and Christianity “ – Chief Fayemi Fakayode said .
Oluwo said the Yoruba State Governors should encourage Isese pilgrimage, they should preserve the cause of our ancestors , they should fund Isese in the very manner they fund the Christians and Muslims , he said it is sad that these Governors have refused to encourage Isese practitioners, they only want to take the cultural part of it and reject the spiritual aspect of the Yoruba race .
The P.R.O asked all traditionalists in Nígeria and Diaspora to celebrate the spirit of oneness , he said Ifá and Orisa are the same, there should be no dispute , every practitioner of the Yoruba religion should remain in one spirit.
