In a vibrant display of culture and unity, Odùduwà Temple in Brazil celebrated the Ẹgbẹ́ festival in grand style, drawing approximately a thousand kids from across São Paulo. The festivities, held on Sunday, May 5th, 2024, took place within the expansive grounds of the largest Òrìşà Temple in Brazil, captivating children from various schools along the waterside of São Paulo.
The Ẹgbẹ́ festival, traditionally honoring the spirit of Egbe (Ancestral colleagues), took on a fresh and inclusive approach this year, emphasizing unity among children of the same grade and age. Instead of the conventional ritualistic manner, the festival embraced a more playful and interactive atmosphere, resonating with the joyful spirit of the youth.
The Oduduwa Temple, known for its grandeur and cultural significance, transformed into a spectacle of delight as children of all ages, starting from 4 years old, filled the premises.
